Greetings:
Recently, Robert taught the Yang Short Form in detail to preserve the teaching he received
from Master Tok Seng Gim. This class was a great success and from it there have been produced 42 DVD's. Those who have
purchased these are thrilled with their content, most of which is not publicly taught. The DVD's are rough edits from 63 hours
of class time. Most run 45-65 minutes.
The video clips on this web site are very low resolution and are meant only to give you a taste of the very
unique material covered in these DVD's.
The actual DVD's are of higher quality than the samples you can view here, however all the video was shot during actual
class situations and no attempt was made to achieve industry standard/Hollywood feature production values.
This in no way diminishes (and in many ways enhances) the accessability of Robert's teaching. It is as close as you can
get to actually attending the class without having to put up with Robert.
These videos are not the typical Tai Chi Chuan demonstration videos. They are intended to disseminate a body
of knowledge about Tai Chi Chuan that is often misunderstood and rarely taught.

"Chi Gung" can be translated as energy work or practice.
This DVD contains a set of six exercises that encompass the fundamentals, as well as more advanced material
that focuses on generating and moving essential energy (chi) throughout the major energy pathways of the body, including the
spine.
Each exercise is designed to move energy through the body and spine in a different way via repetitions
of simple body movements.
Chi Gung manifests and moves energy in ways that can be directly applied to the Tai Chi solo form, push
hands, sparring, as well as direct martial applications, but is presented in a somewhat more accessable form and is therefore
a very useful introduction to the energetic principles embodied in Tai Chi as well as a perfectly complete practice in-and-of
itself.

In this DVD Robert, with the help of his lovely assistant Penny, demonstrates the complete set of Spinal
Chi Gung exercises, goes over important points to remember when practicing the exercises and points out common errors that
students should be aware of.
Although the mechanics of these exercises are deceptively simple, the deeper levels may only be realized
through consistent practice over considerable time.
By becoming more familiar with the inner landscape, the student begins the journey of becoming aware of
energetic pathways and blockages and of strengths and weaknesses of body and mind. This can be either an incentive or a deterrent,
depending on your approach.
These exercises are useful for advanced practitioners or beginners, old as well as young, and are particularly
suitable for those with limited mobility.

PUSH HANDS
Push hands is a two-person practice wherein the principles introduced in the solo form are put into practical
application.
In these DVD's Robert discusses and demonstrates concepts such as storing and releasing energy with a focus
on the internal practices that are trained by the soft, flowing movements of the solo form and how they manifest through physical
alignments into the power that makes Tai Chi a most effective martial art.
